My work with this Non -profit organisation is that of Orphan and Vulnerable Children Project Advisor and the purpose of this is to institute positive attitudes towards support to orphans and vulnerable children in a sustainable manner. There are many other programmes undertaken by KDC like Community mobilization and organisation, Food security, Natural Resource management, Community Based Health Care and HIV/AIDS, Asset Development and Coordination and Administration. It is our hope to establish a Rescue Centre where the orphans and vulnerable children will be looked after and supported while their residential papers are being processed. The process is a long one and very often this children are subjected to living on the streets and existing whatever way they can find!!! This lend itself to abuse , prostitution and the HIV and AIDS epidemic.
