About Us
Claremorris Community Radio Limited was formed in March 2004. It is a limited liability company with no share capital, having its Registered Office at The Town Hall, Claremorris, Co. Mayo. A full-time licence to broadcast was granted in June 2006 and transmissions commenced on the 2nd September 2006.
The station aims to reflect the diversity of cultures within our catchment area. We promote community development in all its aspects, with a combination of information, light programming, music and programmes of regional and local interest. It is intended that we cater for and reflect the new multicultural community in Claremorris. We aim to develop programmes and training that encourage disadvantaged groups to express their beliefs, values and needs for a better understanding within our community.
We recognise that business plays an important role in supporting the community and it is with this in mind the radio station will assist local businesses to promote and develop their community involvement.
Supporting Claremorris Community Radio means supporting voluntary and community groups in the area.
